We believe in the Reggio Emilia inspired approach to learning. Children touch, explore, think, and learn through process art, sensory and independent play. At The Liberty School, we foster a sense of community where every child's voice is heard and celebrated.

Our commitment to providing an enriching and inclusive educational experience sets the stage for each child to thrive creatively, confidently and socially.
ELEMENTS OF
REGGIO EMILIA APPROACH
Feels like home
Children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn in our safe, warm and cozy environment. Our children feel like they’re at home. Nature is brought into the classroom and in here, children see natural light, green plants, and natural wooden toys with endless possibilities to create.
Collaboration and social interaction
We believe that children can form an understanding of themselves and their place in the world through their interactions with others. Their questions and thoughts are valued and engaged with to encourage communication and relationships with friends, teachers, and their families.
Documentation
We embrace the processing of thoughts. Through the use of photography, videography, transcripts of children's thoughts and visual representations, we capture the learning process of our students. This documentation embraces the process rather than the product, it encourages and assures our children that their work and thinking are regarded, understood and appreciated.
Child-centered curriculum
Every child is a unique individual. Our teachers observe and discover what interests and needs each child has and use this knowledge to create meaningful and engaging activities. This approach allows the children to explore, develop, and learn in an environment that is tailored to their individual needs and interests.
The hundred languages of children
Children are communicators. We encourage them to express their ideas, feelings, and thoughts through painting, sculpting, music, storytelling, and other forms of self-expression. We provide an engaging and supportive environment for children to explore and express themselves.
