The early years of a child's life are a crucial period for their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

At The Liberty School, we have wholeheartedly embraced the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, and one of its key tenets is the importance of outdoor time.

During outside time, children have the opportunity to play, learn, and explore in a natural environment, aligning perfectly with the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia approach.

The Liberty School ensures that outdoor play is at the core of our preschool childhood education. The outdoor environment provides an expansive canvas for preschool children to explore. Our children investigate nature, discover insects and plants, and get a firsthand look at the world beyond four walls. We go to local park like Van Vorst, Angel Ramos Park and more.

Whether it's collecting rocks, branches, and sticks as they dig and climb or playing imaginative games in the natural world, children's minds and bodies are actively engaged.

At The Liberty School, we believe in the power of outdoor play to nurture early childhood development. Outdoor time is not just an activity but a cornerstone of our preschool educational philosophy. We encourage our young ones to embrace the world outside, where they can run, jump, explore, and, most importantly, develop into healthy and well-rounded individuals.
